    The objective of this research is to carry out the economic valuation of the archaeological sites of the Rio Abiseo National Park (RANP), based on the cultural services they offer, applying the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM). The RANP is located in the San Martín region, being declared World Heritage Site in 1990 and Mixed World Heritage Site (Natural and Cultural) in 1992. For this purpose, two hypothetical scenarios were raised. The first scenario was associated with the willingness to pay (WTP) to contribute to the execution of enhancement in three archaeological sites of the RANP. The second scenario was aimed at finding out if people are WTP by entrance fee to visit the monuments and enjoy the landscape beauty of the RANP. So 384 surveys were applied, through a virtual form, to people of Peruvian nationality. The results estimate a WTP of S/. 550 soles in the first scenario and a WTP of S/. 95 soles in the second scenario. The significant variables are information level and income level, with a possible bias in the first scenario. It concluded that the Contingent Valuation Method can be applied to measure in economic terms the cultural services, intangible benefits, offered by the archaeological sites within the RANP.
