La estructura narrativa y las funciones del narrador en las anécdotas de Manuel González Prada

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo consiste en revisar las características generales de la anécdota y estudiar el uso que Manuel González Prada (1848-1918) hace de ella a partir de las categorías narratológicas de estructura narrativa y de las funciones del narrador. Desde esta perspectiva, proponemos que las anécdotas del escritor peruano no solo le sirvieron para difundir la ideología anarquista en la ciudad de Lima, sino también para proponer una representación realista de la sociedad de su tiempo. Para este fin, analizaremos y comentaremos cinco anécdotas publicadas en los semanarios anarquistas “El libre pensamiento” y “Los parias”.The purpose of this article is to review the general characteristics of the anecdote and study the use that Manuel González Prada (1848-1918) makes of it from the narratological categories of narrative structure and the functions of the narrator. From thisperspective, we propose that the anecdotes of the Peruvian writer not only served him to spread the anarchist ideology in the city of Lima, but also to propose a realistic representation of the society of his time. For this end, we will analyze and comment five anecdotes published in the anarchist weekly newspapers “El libre pensamiento” and “Los parias”.
