Resumen
La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo describir la actitud que mantienen los padres de familia sobre el uso del quechua en una IE EIB de fortalecimiento cultural y lingüístico en Ocongate, Quispicanchi, Cusco, 2023. El estudio de corte cualitativo y con las técnicas del grupo focal y observación participante, arrojó que los padres de familia tienen una postura positiva hacia el quechua con plena vitalidad y uso en la familia y comunidad; pero no garantizan que ocurra lo mismo en otros ámbitos como en la ciudad. Pero más allá de su lealtad lingüística, las adversidades sociopolíticas y la poca valoración de la diversidad, han hecho que la lengua originaria se esté debilitando, de ahí que su utilidad en el contexto educativo sea poco valorada, en relación al castellano que tiene una mayor demanda; es decir, los padres buscan que las IIEE castellanicen a sus hijos, aunque no rechazan la EIB. Así, cuando la escuela promueve el uso del quechua y de la cultura local, los padres participan y comprometen a las personas que poseen la sabiduría del lugar. En suma, el quechua es vital en la familia y comunidad, pero el avance del castellano es galopante.
The objective of this research was to describe the attitude that parents maintain about the use of Quechua in an EIB of cultural and linguistic strengthening in Ocongate, Quispicanchi, Cusco, 2023. The qualitative study and with the techniques of the focus group and participant observation, showed that parents have a positive attitude towards Quechua with full vitality and use in the family and community; but they do not guarantee that the same will happen in other areas such as in the city. But beyond their linguistic loyalty, socio-political adversities and the low valuation of diversity have caused the native language to be weakened, hence its usefulness in the educational context is undervalued, in relation to Spanish, which is in greater demand; that is, parents seek that the IIEE Spanishize their children, although they do not reject the EIB. Thus, when the school promotes the use of Quechua and the local culture, parents participate and engage the people who possess the wisdom of the place. In short, Quechua is vital in the family and community, but the advance of Spanish is galloping.
