dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación cualitativa, basada en entrevistas semiestructuradas a 10 mujeres trans de Lima, tiene como objetivo general describir y analizar las representaciones sociales de las mujeres trans peruanas sobre sus familias. De forma específica, la investigación buscó explorar en tres funciones familiares: 1) la función afectiva familiar, 2) la función del apoyo familiar y 3) la función de la relación familiar. Los hallazgos muestran que las mujeres trans suelen representar a sus familias como “transfóbicas”, “homofóbicas”, “agresivas” y “machistas” debido a que no aceptan su identidad de género. En consecuencia, ellas representan el grupo con mayor experiencia de violencia y rechazo en una sociedad que las margina y excluye de las diferentes esferas sociales, situación que las obliga a enfrentar serios peligros que atentan contra su vida. Estos hallazgos se discuten con información del marco teórico, así como de los constructos psicológicos más relevantes. Finalmente, se muestran las conclusiones y se explican las limitaciones y recomendaciones del estudio.es_ES
dc.description.abstractThe present qualitative research, based on semi-structured interviews with 10 trans women from Lima, has the general objective of describing and analyzing the social representations of Peruvian trans women about their families. More specifically, the research sought to explore three family functions: 1) family affective function, 2) family support function and 3) family relationship function. The findings show that trans women represent their families as "transphobic", "homophobic", "aggressive" and "macho" because they do not accept their gender identity. Consequently, they represent the group with the most experience of violence and rejection in a society that marginalizes them and excludes them from different social spheres. Situation that faces serious dangers that threaten his life. These findings are discussed with information from the theoretical framework, as well as the most relevant psychological constructs. Finally, the conclusions are shown and the limitations and recommendations of the study are explained.en
