The main objective of this research was to analyze the sense of community in rondera women from a populated center in the district of Chota - Chota. It was developed under a qualitative approach and phenomenological design, collecting the voice of the ronderas through semi-structured interviews. The total sample was 11 ronderas, among them, 8 roamed at night and 3 were pioneer ronderas who were there since the beginning of the foundation of the peasant patrols. The results of the research showed that rondera women not only participate in the rondas by inherited tradition but also because they find a space for realization and transformation, sustaining the organization and reconfiguring in them new identities where it is appreciated that they are active builders of their lives and their communities. The dimensions of membership, influence, integration, and connection are interwoven with joy, pride, mutual support, and caring relationships. The rondera women are aware of their rights and confront patriarchal structures led largely by the ronderos, however, they project the peasant patrols towards a more egalitarian and equitable future. As a conclusion of this study, it is evident that the sense of community of rondera women is built at the intersection of gender, territory and history.
