This research has analyzed the pre-feasibility study for the production and export of powdered ginger to the United States market. This analysis covered several aspects, including the definition of the study, the analysis of theoretical bases, the strategic study, the market study, the technical analysis, the legal and organizational evaluation, the environmental study, as well as the economic and financial analysis. Regarding the strategic study, it was established that the strategy to be followed by the project will be “Cost Leadership - Best Value”. The market analysis projects a demand for pulverized ginger of 12.30 tons in the first year, 19.03 tons in the second year, 26.87 tons in the third year, 35.84 tons in the fourth year, and 45.92 tons in the fifth year. The product will be offered in 16-ounce (1 pound) presentations at a price of US$20.00, equivalent to 76.26 soles. In the technical analysis, it was determined that the plant size will be in line with demand, resulting in a total area of 699.51 m², distributed in 7 specific areas. In legal and organizational terms, the company will be incorporated under the name “Exportadora N&L S.A.C.” and will be under the MYPE Tax Regime (RMT). Regarding the environmental study, the company will undertake to comply with the corresponding environmental regulations. Finally, in the economic and financial analysis, the following profitability indicators were obtained: NPV = S/ 4,495,298.44, NPV = S/ 3,677,298.96, EIRR = 78.38%, IRRF = 51.91%, COK = 13.17% and a B/C ratio = 1.82. Based on these results, it is concluded that the project is viable and profitable, since the profitability indicators are positive, evidencing a favorable NPV, an Internal Rate of Return higher than the Opportunity Cost of Capital and a Benefit Cost (B/C) greater than 1.
