The research analyzed the perceptions of parents from Ventanilla regarding Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) as a public policy, identifying the influence of the "Don't Mess with My Kids" movement and evaluating its implications for the acceptance or rejection of CSE. Through a qualitative interpretative approach, focus groups were conducted with 30 parents, along with semi-structured interviews with 6 teachers from three educational institutions. The results reveal a heterogeneous understanding of CSE, marked by communication gaps between schools and families. Moreover, perceptions range from concerns about contradictions with traditional values to acknowledgment of its formative benefits. Additionally, the movement has influenced more traditionalist parents; however, this influence is neither uniform nor decisive, varying according to preexisting values and direct experiences with the implementation of CSE. The study concludes that parents' perceptions of CSE represent a multidimensional phenomenon where value-based, ideological, and experiential elements interact, shaping either acceptance or rejection. These perceptions are not static but evolve based on direct observation of its effects on their children and the quality of communication between school and family.
