Resumen
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo comprender las creencias de las educadoras acerca del juego en niños que asisten a una ludoteca en El Agustino, Lima. La metodología utilizada fue de tipo cualitativa con un diseño fenomenológico. La muestra estuvo compuesta por cinco educadoras con diversas experiencias y profesiones. Para la recolección de datos, se emplearon entrevistas semiestructuradas con preguntas abiertas. Los resultados se organizaron en tres dimensiones: primero, las educadoras creen que el juego es fundamental para el desarrollo integral de los niños, permitiéndoles expresar sus emociones y mejorar sus habilidades sociales; segundo, consideran que el juego es la principal herramienta de aprendizaje, fomentando la creatividad y la reflexión; y tercero, resaltan la importancia del rol de la educadora en la planificación y guía de las actividades lúdicas. La investigación concluye que las creencias de las educadoras sobre el juego están profundamente influenciadas por sus experiencias personales y profesionales, así como por el contexto socioeconómico de los niños.
This study aimed to understand educators' beliefs about play in children attending a play library in El Agustino, Lima. The methodology used was qualitative with a phenomenological design. The sample consisted of five educators with diverse experiences and professions. Data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions. The results were organized into three dimensions: first, educators believe that play is essential for children's overall development, allowing them to express emotions and enhance social skills; second, they consider play as the main learning tool, fostering creativity and reflection; and third, they highlight the importance of the educator's role in planning and guiding play activities. The research concludes that educators' beliefs about play are deeply influenced by their personal and professional experiences, as well as the socioeconomic context of the children.
