The objective of this research was to describe the attitudes of teachers and parents towards the use of Quechua in a primary school in the district of Pichirhua, Abancay, Apurimac, within the framework of intercultural bilingual education. The qualitative approach, descriptive level, in-depth interview technique was used with the participation of two teachers and three parents. Among the results, a positive and explicit attitude stands out in the discourse of the actors; they feel proud to be Quechua speakers. However, the Quechua language, despite being a vital language, since it is spoken by all generations, is weak and its use is limited. Teachers believe that parents no longer pass it on to their children. The truth is that the school does not make a committed effort as part of an internal institutional policy to promote its pedagogical use, as required by national norms. The EIB is not very organized, it is improvised, the materials are not used in Quechua, and the writing is considered difficult.
