Interculturalidad e identidad cultural en los estudiantes de 5to grado de secundaria de un colegio particular del Cusco

Resumen
La investigación tuvo como objetivo describir cómo se manifiestan la interculturalidad y el desarrollo de la identidad cultural en estudiantes de 5to grado de secundaria de un colegio particular de Cusco. La metodología siguió el paradigma interpretativo, con un enfoque mixto de diseño concurrente y alcance descriptivo. Participaron 6 alumnos, 20 docentes, el coordinador de secundaria y el director, seleccionados mediante muestreo no probabilístico intencional. La recolección de información se realizó de manera concurrente con un cuestionario (fase cuantitativa) y una entrevista semiestructurada (fase cualitativa), para luego establecer un proceso de triangulación. Los resultados constatan las potencialidades de la institución educativa para la educación intercultural, valorando las diferentes manifestaciones culturales como un elemento esencial para una convivencia crítica y fraterna. Se evidenció que la identidad cultural está relacionada con aspectos de desarrollo personal, ciudadanía cívica, tolerancia, respeto, diálogo, justicia, inclusión y reconocimiento de los derechos de las personas, en una interrelación individual, colectiva y democrática. Se concluye que la interculturalidad impacta positivamente en el desarrollo de la identidad cultural de los estudiantes de 5to grado de secundaria de un colegio particular del Cusco.
The aim of this research was to describe how interculturality and the development of cultural identity manifest among 5th-grade high school students at a private school in Cusco. The study employed an interpretive paradigm, with a mixed-methods approach of concurrent design and descriptive scope. Participants included 6 students, 20 teachers, the secondary school coordinator, and the principal, all selected through intentional non-probability sampling. Data collection was carried out concurrently using a questionnaire (quantitative phase) and a semi-structured interview (qualitative phase), followed by a triangulation process. The results highlight the potential of the educational institution for intercultural education, valuing diverse cultural expressions as an essential element for critical and fraternal coexistence. It was found that cultural identity is linked to aspects of personal development, civic citizenship, tolerance, respect, dialogue, justice, inclusion, and recognition of human rights, in an individual, collective, and democratic interplay. The study concludes that interculturality positively impacts the development of the cultural identity of 5th-grade high school students at a private school in Cusco.
